TN man gets 20 years rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting four-year-old girl

VILLUPURAM: A special court handling cases booked under the Protection of Children from sexual offences (Pocso) Act sentenced a 50-year-old man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl near Marakanam in 2021.
Sessions judge M Vinodha slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on the man. She directed the govt to provide compensation of Rs 7 lakh to the minor survivor.
On Feb 16, 2021, the man enticed the LKG student to his house and sexually assaulted her.
