Anees Bazmee kickstarts pre-production for ' No Entry 2' in Greece
The much-anticipated sequel to the comedy classic 'No Entry' is finally gaining momentum. Director Anees Bazmee has begun preparations for No Entry 2, which will feature Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor in lead roles. The filmmaker recently shared glimpses from Greece, where he has started working on the film alongside producer Boney Kapoor and cinematographer Manu Anand.
Bazmee took to Instagram to post a series of pictures from the scenic location, captioning them, “Plotting new adventures in Greece with producer Boney Kapoor ji and DOP Manu Anand ji! Prepping for the madness that’s No Entry 2.” Fans flooded the comments section with excitement, though some expressed disappointment over Salman Khan’s absence, with one user stating, “Without Salman Khan, No Entry is incomplete.”
In an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, producer Boney Kapoor shed light on why the original cast, including his brother Anil Kapoor, could not be retained for the sequel. Addressing the curiosity surrounding the casting changes, he explained, “I waited for a long time, but everyone had their own commitments and reasons, which I fully respect. So, we’ve reimagined the film with a fresh ensemble.”
Despite the changes, Kapoor remains confident that 'No Entry 2' will surpass the success of its predecessor. “The script has immense potential. People who have heard the concept believe it’s even better than the first No Entry. It retains all the elements that made the original a cult favorite while bringing a fresh twist,” he shared.

Kapoor also revealed that filming is set to commence in June or July 2025, with an ambitious timeline leading up to a grand Diwali release on October 26, 2025. Given the extensive post-production work required, the team is determined to stay on track and deliver an entertaining sequel that lives up to audience expectations.

Meanwhile Anil Kapoor is not entirely happy with the decision to move forward without the original cast. While neither Anil nor Boney Kapoor has officially commented on the matter, industry buzz hints at tension between the brothers over the casting shake-up.

With a new lineup of actors and a revamped storyline, 'No Entry 2' is shaping up to be one of the most awaited comedies in Bollywood. Fans are eager to see how this fresh take on the beloved franchise unfolds on the big screen.
