Stick to word limit to ace Hindi exam: Expert advice
Jaipur: For the Hindi exam, which students often find lengthy, subject experts recommend starting with easier questions. Another tip is adhering to the word limit to ensure timely completion of the paper.
Rosy Gupta, a Hindi teacher for Class 10 at Rukmani Birla Modern High School, said, "To score well, students must carefully read each chapter and underline key points in their books," she said.
She said marking important points in the book aids revision. "This way, students can quickly review crucial points before the exam. While preparing for poetry, they should focus not just on meaning but also on its emotional depth, language, rhyme, and literary devices," Gupta added.
Gupta advised that students should begin and conclude their answers with poetic lines where applicable. When attempting creative tasks such as advertisements or message writing, she suggested incorporating colours and drawings.
"Students must understand the distinction between a message and a letter. They should always adhere to the word limit," she said. She also stressed maintaining proper formatting while writing emails or composition-based answers. During the exam, Gupta recommended reading the question paper carefully before starting. "Write answers to the easiest questions first. Don't waste time overthinking difficult ones," she advised.
"Once you complete the paper, review your answers and underline key points. And finally, make sure you haven't missed any sub-questions," she said.
