Man found dead in fire incident, cops supect suicide
Hyderabad: In a suspected case of suicide, a 30-year-old man identified as Jalagam Sathya Sai Srinivas died under mysterious circumstances after a fire broke out at his rented house in Balanagar in the city on Sunday morning. While the exact cause of the fire is being investigated, police suspect he set himself ablaze.
On Sunday, around 4 am, Srinivas' neighbours noticed a fire in his rented room and alerted the police and fire personnel, who rushed to the spot, extinguished the fire, and found that Srinivas was already charred to death.
Police said that primary investigation indicates that Srinivas died by suicide and, as he was working in a chemical company in Dundigal, he could have used some chemicals for the act. "The exact cause of death will be known from the PME report. The clues team also collected samples from the spot to verify the chemical used," said Balanagar station house officer T Narsimha Raju.
Srinivas, hailing from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, got separated from his wife and stayed alone in a rented room in a building while working at Dundigal.
