‘Advantage Vidarbha’ Metro train to boost regional industrial growth ahead of Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav

Nagpur: The ‘Advantage Vidarbha' metro train was officially flagged off on Sunday, marking the countdown to Advantage Vidarbha 2025: Khasdar Audyogik Mahotsav. The industrial event, conceptualised by Union minister Nitin Gadkari and organised by the Association for Industrial Development (AID), is scheduled from February 7 to 9 at Nagpur University campus, Amravati Road.

State Bank of India General Manager Rakesh Kumar Yadav, along with former MLAs Sudhakar Deshmukh and Milind Mane, AID President Ashish Kale, and industrialist Jayprakash Gupta jointly inaugurated the first ‘Advantage Vidarbha' metro train. The train will operate on the Khapri–Automotive Chowk route, while another will run between Lokmanya Nagar and Prajapati Nagar, showcasing Vidarbha's industrial potential.

The launch was attended by key dignitaries, including Maha Metro's Deputy General Manager Rajiv Saurabh, General Manager (Operations) Sudhakar Urade, General Manager (Maintenance) Ritesh Garg, and Deputy General Manager (Corporate Operations) Akhilesh Halve. Several AID members, including Vice President Girdhari Mantri, Treasurer Prof Rajesh Bagdi, and executive committee members Rajesh Rokade, Mahendra Kshirsagar, and others, were also present.

The dedicated metro trains aim to reinforce Vidarbha's commitment to industrial growth by promoting its business opportunities, infrastructure, and economic potential to investors and stakeholders ahead of the Mahotsav.
