‘Dominic and the ladies’ purse’ box office collections day 11: Mammootty’s film mints only Rs 31 lakhs
Seems like the Mammootty starrer ‘Dominic and the ladies’ purse’ is not having a tight grip at the box office even with decent reviews.

‘Dominic and the ladies’ purse’ box office collections day 9: Mammootty’s investigative drama mints only Rs 16 lakhs

Mammootty’s latest investigative drama, 'Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse,' directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, is experiencing a continued decline at the box office since its release. In 9 days, the film has garnered Rs 14.5 crore worldwide, with India’s net collections at Rs 8.03 crore and gross collections at Rs 7.45 crore. The overseas collections stand at Rs 7.05 crore. Despite receiving an ETimes rating of 3 stars, the film’s box office performance has been lackluster. Notably, the movie features notable performances from Siddique, Gokul Suresh, and Sushmitha Bhatt.

According to the early estimates by the Sacnilk website, ‘Dominic and the ladies’ purse’ has collected only Rs 31 lakhs on day 11. The Malayalam net box office collections for Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Malayalam debut directorial amount to Rs 8.65 crore.

The worldwide collections for the investigative drama movie stand at Rs 17.5 crore and the India net collections stand at Rs 8.65 crore. The India gross collections stand at Rs 9.4 crore. The overseas collections amount to Rs 8.1 crore in 11 days.

Looking at the day-wise box office collections, we can see a confused movement at the box office. Some days the movie has made a high of Rs 43 lakhs and some days it has even dipped to Rs 17 lakhs. Averaging all these collections, it can bee said that the Mammootty starrer will be struggling to maintain its collections in the coming days as well, affecting its long run in cinemas.

On the contrary, even though the box office performance is not satisfactory, the reviews pouring in for the movie are decent. ETimes gave a rating of 3 out of 5 and our review reads, “The film is layered and so are the characters. Gokul Suresh matches Dominic's vibe and so does Viji Venkatesh. They are like two satellites around the star. Of course, the star performer after Mammootty is Sushmitha Bhatt. She is spectacular. There are so many characters going in and out but the story warrants it. The exciting climax makes up for any lethargy one may feel at any point in the film. That said, there are also plot points like the identity of an individual -who do they identify as ? There is no judgement which is fair and hopefully, it is looked at through the same lens by the larger public rather than being used as a tool to discriminate.”
