NEW DELHI: A group of 100 Pakistani citizens arrived in Ajmer on Wednesday to participate in the 813th Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti, the revered Sufi saint.
The devotees offered a 'chadar' at the shrine and brought special offerings, including Pakistani sweets and bouquets, symbolizing their reverence for the Sufi saint.
One of the Pakistani devotees expressed, "We come with a message of peace. We hope that Modi ji continues to grant us visas to visit Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz."

Each year, the Pakistan government conducts a lottery to select pilgrims eligible to attend the Ajmer Urs.
Once the list of selected participants is finalised, it is shared with the Indian government, which then decides how many pilgrims will be granted entry into India for the event.
The pilgrims are traditionally accommodated in Ajmer's Chudi Bazar, where the district administration makes all necessary arrangements.
Additionally, a specific date is coordinated with the Pakistani group for the ceremonial presentation of the chadar at the shrine.
