AJMER: Police used mild force to control the mob that gathered outside Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) situated at Jaipur road, demanding CBI investigation of paper leak incident on Tuesday.
Later, police arrested two protesters for disturbing peace in the region. Section 144 of CRPC is already imposed in the circumference of RPSC after the senior teacher paper was leaked on December 24 last year.
Around 11 am on Tuesday, dozens of protesters gathered outside RPSC office under the banner of Berojgar Ekikrat Mahasangh and shouted slogans against the commission.
They alleged that RPSC is destroying the future of thousands of youths by not declaring the result of various examinations on time.
Upen Yadav, president of the Mahasangh, told media that paper leak incidents destroy all hopes and future of youths and RPSC is responsible for such incidents. He demanded CBI investigation in the matter.
The protesters sat on dharna outside the main gate of RPSC. They demanded to release the result of school lecturer exam.
Looking to the protest, police force was deputed. The police explained them that Section 144 of CRPC was imposed around RPSC and, therefore, no protest is allowed at that place but protesters remained adamant and continued their protest.
The protest continued for an hour and police used lathis to control the situation.
Police arrested Upen Yadav and one of his supporters from the spot for disturbing peace.
