BENGALURU: The revised prices of Nandini milk, curd and buttermilk will come into effect Tuesday onwards. The prices will go up from Rs 1 to Rs 3, according to a release from Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF).
Reeling under losses due to substantial rise in input costs, electricity charges and an outbreak of lumpy skin disease, the unions had requested a hike of Rs 5 per litre of milk and milk products.
Upset over the demand, the CM approved an increase of Rs 3 and insisted the entire hiked amount be transferred to farmers. Accordingly, KMF revised rates.
