Bhopal: A 23-year-old bike-borne engineering student, who sustained grievous injury after his bike slipped and collided with an electric pole in Piplani locality on December 29, died at a hospital on Saturday.
Police said that the deceased Shoeb, 23, hailed from Uttar-Pradesh. Here he resided in a rented room in Piplani and was studying at a private engineering college.
On December 29 around 9.30 am when Shoeb was going to college on his bike, he lost control over the bike and skidded a few meters before his head rammed an electric pole. His college friends, who were passing by, rushed him to a nearby private hospital. They received hospital bill of around Rs 60,000 in two days. Later, he was shifted to Hamidia hospital.
Police said that while undergoing treatment at hospital he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday evening. On getting information from the hospital, a case was registered at Piplani police station and further investigations are underway.
