A large fire occurred at a garment factory in Bakawala, west Delhi, on Sunday morning. The Delhi Fire Services received an alert at 6.55 am and promptly dispatched 26 fire tenders to manage the situation.

NEW DELHI: A massive fire broke out at a garment factory in Bakkarwala area of west Delhi on Sunday morning.
Thick plumes of smoke and intense flames were seen billowing from the first floor of the double-story building.

Fire tenders were rushed to the scene to control the blaze.

Delhi Fire Services department officials said that the fire broke out in a clothes factory near Rajiv Ratna Awas in the Bakkarwala area of Outer Delhi.
"We received a call about the fire at 6.55 am. At least 26 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and attempts to douse the flames are underway," the official said.
"Twenty-five fire engines were dispatched to the spot, and firefighting operations are ongoing," they said.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, they added.
