1 lakh meth tablets seized in Mizoram

AIZAWL: Mizoram Police's Special Narcotic Cell and the Assam Rifles, in a joint operation, seized one lakh tablets of methamphetamine on Wednesday, a press statement by the state police department said.
The statement added that the tablets were recovered and seized from the Durtlang locality on the outskirts of Aizawl.
On Tuesday, special narcotics cell officials and the Assam Rifles seized one lakh tablets of Methamphetamine at Thuampui on Tuesday and arrested Zothanmawia (32), a resident of Zokhawthar in Champhai district."Sustained interrogation of the accused person resulted in recovery of additional one lakh tablets of methamphetamine," the statement said.
The value of the seized contraband is around Rs 38 crore. TNN
