Youth held for blackmailing women on social media

AIZAWL: Cybercrime sleuths of Mizoram Police arrested a 23-year-old man in Sesih village in Champhai district on the Mizoram-Myanmar border on Monday for allegedly blackmailing two women on social media, chief public relations and IGP (headquarters) John Neihlaia said on Wednesday.
Neihlaia said a complaint was received from a resident of Farkawn, Champhai district, saying a Facebook user with profile name "Nunpuia" had contacted her on messenger claiming that he has her nude photo.He threatened her that he would post it unless she took another nude picture and sent it to him.
Another complaint was also received from another resident of Aizawl saying an unidentified person was issuing similar threats from an unknown phone number.
After investigation and analysis of all electronic evidences, the culprit involved in the two cases - Mungliankapa (23) - was arrested by a team of Cybercrime Police Station.
