Cong frustrated by consecutive defeats: Joshi
Hubballi: Union minister Pralhad Joshi said Congress was frustrated by consecutive defeats. "Congress lost badly in Haryana and Maharashtra, and is not even the opposition party," Joshi said.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Joshi said after winning the elections in Karnataka and Telangana, Congress was showing the attitude of winning the whole world. "Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is making false allegations to hide his failure," he criticised.
Joshi said Nehru had insulted Babasaheb Ambedkar very badly. "Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi awarded themselves Bharat Ratna. A BJP-backed non-Congress party had to come forward to award the Bharat Ratna to Ambedkar. Rahul Gandhi gave a long speech on reservation. It is on record that Nehru talked about quality on reservation. There was an uproar in the House in Karnataka on the issue," he said.
The Union minister said an attempt was made to suppress MLC CT Ravi. "Officials are misusing power. We will fight legally. Party will extend all help to Ravi," Joshi said. He expressed indignation over the behaviour of the authorities.
