Two detained after boiler collapse claims life of student in Davanagere
Davanagere: Following the death of a boy in a boiler collapse incident at a residential school police detained the headmaster and warden of the institution. Their arrest came after the parents lodged a formal complaint. The incident occurred at Manjunathaswamy Scheduled Caste Residential Hostel in Davanagere, where a student named Ranganath lost his life when a boiler toppled onto him on Tuesday, as he was adding firewood to the boiler, following the warden's instructions.The victim's parents contend that their son's death on Wednesday, was a result of delayed medical assistance following the accident. The victim's father, Ramappa, registered a formal complaint at the KTJ Nagar police station, Davanagere. Based on the complaint, authorities detained the headmaster and the warden, and are proceeding with the investigation.
