Cops rescue endangered birds; 2 held

Hyderabad: The anti-poaching squad of the Telangana forest department arrested two persons on Tuesday for their alleged involvement in the illegal trade of Alexandrine parakeets near Aramghar area in the city.
The accused have been identified as Md Ahsanuddin and Syed Burhanuddin. According to officials, they received credible information about illegal trade of protected animals and seized 10 chicks from the possession of the duo.
The two accused had bought the birds from a person in Shadnagar and were transporting them to Hyderabad to sell them for 25,000 each. TNN
