Indore: Police have arrested a woman, her minor daughter, and an accomplice in connection with the high-profile jewellery theft case in Brajeshwari Extension area, The accused stole jewellery and expensive watches worth Rs 14 lakh from the residence where the woman was employed as domestic worker.
Tilak Nagar police had received a complaint from Ajay Shukla, an architect residing in Brajeshwari Extension, that his valuable jewellery was stolen from his home.
During investigation, the police identified a young girl, who frequently worked at the house. Upon questioning using psychological techniques, the minor confessed to committing the theft and revealed that she handed over the stolen jewellery to her mother, Madhuri Singh.
Following the confession, Madhuri Singh was taken into custody, and a significant amount of stolen jewellery, including gold chains, mangalsutras, diamond rings, bracelets, and luxury watches, was recovered. Further investigation led to the arrest of another accomplice, Chanda Singh, who received stolen gold bangles and bracelets. She was also taken into custody and other stolen items were seized from her possession.
