NEW DELHI: A moderate
earthquake measuring 3.6 on the
Richter Scale struck the Bikaner region of
Rajasthan on Sunday afternoon, as reported by the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
The earthquake's epicentre was recorded at a depth of 10 km, with coordinates at latitude 27.76°N and longitude 73.72°E.
In a post on X, the NCS confirmed the seismic activity, stating:
"Earthquake of magnitude 3.6 occurred on 02/02/2025 at 12:58 IST. Location: Bikaner, Rajasthan. Depth: 10 km. Coordinates: 27.76°N, 73.72°E."
