JAIPUR: A 27-year-old businessman was injured after two men on a bike shot at him at Chaksu on Friday afternoon. The victim received bullet injuries on his legs and is undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital, said police.

He also has previous cases registered against him,” he said.
Chaksu SHO Bhuri Singh said Gurjar has a fabrication shop at Chaksu, outside which he was shot at when he was stepping into his car parked under a tree. The two suspects are yet to be identified, he added.
“The victim was about to open the car’s door when the assailants came on a superbike. One of them drew out a pistol and shot at the victim’s leg. The bike rider wore a white cap and the shooter rode pillion and carried a backpack. The two assailants made no effort to mask their identities,” police said.
Police retrieved two CCTV clips of the incident. “We discovered that two accused were smoking a cigarette as they waited near the victim’s car. In another footage, the accused could be seen fleeing on the same bike,” said the official. “He (Gurjar) tried to dodge bullets by hiding behind his car but failed,” the official said. Gurjar was first rushed to a nearby hospital and shifted to SMS hospital for further treatment, he added. Cops said the primary reason behind the firing seemed to threaten Gurjar.
