Cong hits back at Kejri, slams his power vows
Jaipur: Congress swiftly responded to accusations levelled by AAP supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and made light of his promise of providing 300 units of free electricity if AAP comes to power in Rajasthan.
In a press statement, Congress said information obtained through RTI has revealed that Kejriwal had increased the advertising budget of Delhi government by a staggering 4,200% compared to the previous Congress government.

Pointing at Kejriwal’s promise of 300 units of free electricity if AAP comes to power in Rajasthan, Congress said he failed to mention the consequences when consumption exceeds 201 and 301 units of electricity. “In such cases, even a single extra unit incurs the full bill, while everyone receives only 100 units for free,” said Congress.
Congress criticized Kejriwal for denying the existence of paper leaks in Delhi and Punjab, and the fact that government jobs are not offered in Delhi. “The RTI inquiry also revealed that the AAP government has created a mere 440 jobs between 2015 and 2023,” said Congress.
Congress refuted Kejriwal’s claims of neglecting infrastructure development in Rajasthan and said the state leads the way in the establishment of medical colleges and hospitals at various levels. Pointing out discrepancies in Kejriwal’s understanding of healthcare policies, Congress said while he spoke about free treatment under the Chiranjeevi scheme in Rajasthan, he seemed unaware that OPD and inpatient (IPD) treatments are already free in government hospitals in the state through Nirogi Rajasthan Yojana.
Congress also said Punjab’s condition is “moving towards bankruptcy”. TNN
