Jaipur: To reduce excavation time after the allotment of mines, the mines department, for the first time, is providing web-based facilities on its departmental portal to address issues faced by LOI (Letter of Intent) holders and ensure regular monitoring of their resolution.
The department is prioritising swift operationalisation of auctioned mineral blocks, focusing on collaboration and direct communication with LOI holders.
Principal secretary of mines and petroleum, T Ravikanth, said, "Virtual interaction with LOI holders across the state was conducted as part of our responsive administration initiative.
Rajasthan is committed to resolving obstacles in obtaining necessary approvals for auctioned mineral blocks within stipulated timelines."
Recently, district-level committees were formed to facilitate mineral development, ensure environmental protection, and monitor illegal mining activities.
An official said, "These committees, chaired by district collectors, include representatives from police, forest, and mining departments, as well as environmental NGOs and four lease/quarry license holders." LOI holders have been encouraged to submit mining plans on time, complete necessary formalities, and coordinate effectively with the department.
