JAIPUR: The first national Lok Adalat of this year will be held in all the courts and tribunals of the state, including the Jodhpur and Jaipur benches of Rajasthan High Court, on Saturday.
Member secretary of Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority (RSLSA) Pramil Kumar Mathur said pending compoundable criminal cases, cheque dishonour cases, civil cases like recovery of money, tenancy disputes, partition, injunction, Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal (MACT) and all family disputes except divorce, service and revenue matters will be attended to at the Lok Adalat.
He said the Lok Adalat is such a forum where disputes are encouraged to be settled through mutual compromise and so there is no victor and vanquished.
The decision of the Lok Adalat is final and there is no further appeal in courts on these cases.
