Poonia writes to Shah, seeks probe into ‘graft by Raj govt’
Jaipur: Alleging corruption under Congress-led government in Rajasthan, deputy leader of opposition Satish Poonia on Saturday wrote to Uion home minister Amit Shah, urging for comprehensive investigation by a central agency.
“The incident of May 19 in Jaipur has brought to the fore the magnitude of corruption prevailing in the state. An astounding sum of Rs 2.31 crore in cash and 1kg gold bar was found in the basement of Yojana Bhavan.

Even ministers within the state government have raised corruption allegations against their own administration, the BJP leader mentioned. Poonia further stated, “There is a significant likelihood that the state government will fail to conduct an unbiased inquiry and attempt to shield the culprits.”
The letter alleged, “Under the leadership of CM Ashok Gehlot, a nexus between government officials, ministers, police and private companies has led to exploitation of the state through corrupt practices.”
