JAIPUR: State BJP leaders demanded a CBI investigation into all recruitment exams held during the Congress rule, including those not affected by question paper leaks, on Sunday. The demand was raised by Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena and Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, among others.
The
Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) had cancelled two general knowledge exam papers to select senior teachers on Saturday following a probe by the Special Operations Group (SOG) which found that they were leaked last December.
Over the last four-and-a-half years, a total of 18 question papers have been declared leaked.
Meena has claimed to have evidence on RAS, CHO, and SI exam paper leaks before their scheduled dates in 2021. tnn
'High-profile paper leak racket is active in Raj'"I have consistently said that a high profile paper leak racket is active in the state involving certain Congress leaders. It has been leaking papers since 2019. If all the recruitment exams are thoroughly investigated, it will become evident that government officials and nominated individuals are complicit in this activity. They have been deliberately posted to facilitate the leakage of papers. Needless to say, this racket has amassed crores of rupees which will be used to fund the assembly elections of Congress leaders," he said.
The RAS exam was conducted under the same security protocols that were breached in the leaked papers case. "BM Sharma, the former president of RPSC, who oversaw the preparations for the RAS exam, is still running a coaching centre for the same exam. Additionally, several exam centres should be probed for their involvement in the paper leak. If a thorough investigation is conducted, major loopholes will be exposed in the entire process, from conducting the exams to declaring results," Meena told TOI.
"It is unfortunate that 8.5 lakh students have to take the senior teacher recruitment examination again. This government has given priority to corruption over the system," Shekhawat tweeted.
