Jaipur: A splendid hat-trick by Vishu Rajawat helped Himgiri post an easy win in the Dera Ashwa Polo Cup, organised by Rajputana Riding and Polo Club (RRPC) at the Dera Ashwa ground here on Thursday. Himgiri dominated their opponents Team APC thanks to Vishu’s brilliant performance. Dino Dhankar chipped in with a goal as Himgiri notched a 4-2 win.
In another one-sided encounter, RRPC outclassed Team Indiana 7-3.
Dhruvpal Godara excelled for RRPC with 4 goals, while Savir Mehra Godara scored 2.
The third match of the day between Team Blue and Team Spice Court ended in a 5-5 draw.
Earlier on Wednesday, RRPC edged past Himgiri 6-2 in the Prema Bissa Memorial Junior Polo Cup final to clinch the title. Savir Godara slammed five goals for the winners, while Aaryan waged a lone fight for Himgiri with 4 goals.
State tennis meet begins: Seeded players sailed smoothly on the opening day of the
Rajasthan state tennis championship which got underway at the Jamna Tennis Academy here on Thursday. The four-day tourney is being organized by JSC Ohana Sansthan, Lodha Mandi Road, under the auspices of Rajasthan Tennis Association. Defending champions Jaipur and last edition's runners-up Jodhpur started their campaign on a winning note in the inter-district team event.
