Police officer dies of heart attack during morning walk in Rajasthan

JODHPUR: District Special Team in-charge died of a heart attack while out for a morning walk on Thursday morning. He suddenly had a chest pain while walking and fell down. People present on the spot, rushed him to AIIMS, where doctors declared him dead.
ASP (Rural) Bhopal Singh said that Sub Inspector and in-charge of the Jodhpur Rural DST team Karni Dan (39) was walking in Krishna Nagar Park near his residence on Thursday morning at about 8.30 AM.
“He used to go for walks daily. Today, he suddenly felt chest pain and collapsed on the track while walking. People present at the scene took him to AIIMS, but his life could not be saved.”, said Lakhawat.
His sudden death sent a shock wave across all ranks of the police department. Upon receiving the news of his death, many colleagues and officials reached the hospital.
Karni Dan hailed from from Badnawa Jagir in Balotra district and was selected as an ASI in the Indian Police Department in 2014. He is survived by his wife, a 6-year-old son, and his mother.
In August last year also, a police Inspector Amit Sihag (48) had also passed away after he had complained of chest pain in the evening after returning from duty. He also had been rushed to the hospital but was declared dead.
