3 booked under NDPS Act

Mangaluru: Mangaluru South Police Station took three persons into custody on Friday for alleged drug consumption. The accused are Sahid Malik,36, Mohammed Irshad,27, and Mohammed Nawaf,23.
According to police, the trio were found standing by the roadside near KMC, Attavar. When asked about their presence in the area, they stammered in their responses, and there was allegedly a strong smell of substance on their breath.Upon further questioning, they admitted to consuming narcotic substances.
They were subjected to a medical examination, which confirmed that they consumed the substances. A case was registered under Section 27(b) of the NDPS Act.
