Yuva Nidhi beneficiaries to get skill training in DK

Mangaluru: The state govt has initiated complimentary skill development training as part of the Yuva Nidhi Plus scheme for those who benefit from the Yuva Nidhi programme, said Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat CEO Anandh K. He encouraged qualified candidates to reach out to the approved training institutions: Karnataka German Technical Training Institute (KGTTI), Centre for Entrepreneurship Development Karnataka (CEDOK), and Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC).
During a district skill mission meeting, he said that the Yuva Nidhi scheme now includes 2024 graduates, with registration centres being established across degree, diploma, and engineering colleges to simplify enrolment. He instructed that details about registration initiatives should be communicated to the taluk-level guarantee scheme implementation authority to ensure effective execution.
He invited students holding SSLC, PUC, ITI, degree, diploma, postgraduate degree, and engineering qualifications to participate in the govt-organised district job fairs. Additionally, he called upon local employers and industrial organisations to utilise these recruitment opportunities.
The ZP CEO welcomed industries interested in providing short-term professional skill training and employment opportunities to submit their proposals to the District Skill Development Office for govt approval.
