MUMBAI: Central Railway's Mumbai Division is conducting a megablock on suburban sections today to carry out essential engineering and maintenance work.
On the Main Line, a block is in place on the Matunga-Mulund Up and Down fast lines from 11.30 am to 3.30 pm.
Up fast line services departing from Thane between 11.25 am and 3.27 pm are being diverted to the Up slow line at Mulund, halting at their respective stations between Mulund and Matunga.
These trains will be re-diverted to the Up fast line at Matunga and will arrive at their destinations 15 minutes behind schedule.
On the Harbour Line, maintenance work is being carried out between CSMT and Chunabhatti/Bandra from 11:10 am to 4.40 pm. Special services are operating between Panvel and Kurla during the block period.
Harbour Line passengers are permitted to travel via the Main Line and Western Line stations until 6 pm today.
"These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway administration for the inconvenience caused," CR official said.
