10-year-old boy dies after falling from moving vehicle, another injured
Wardha: A 10-year-old boy lost his life while another was injured after falling from a moving goods vehicle on the Shekapur-Veni Road near Parsoda Reeth on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Saksham Naukerkar (10), a resident of Shekapur (Bai), while the injured child is Kartik Shivankar (12).
According to reports, the goods vehicle, owned by Vipul Marskolhe, was returning after dropping off passengers in Parsoda Reeth. As the vehicle was in motion, Saksham and Kartik climbed onto the back platform.
A short distance later, while trying to get down, both boys fell on the road. Saksham suffered a severe head injury, while Kartik was also hurt. Hearing the noise, Vipul Marskolhe stopped the vehicle and rushed back, only to find Saksham unconscious on the ground and Kartik injured.
Both were immediately taken to a hospital in Vadner where doctors declared Saksham dead. Kartik was later shifted to Sevagram for further treatment.
Vadner police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
