Nagpur: Two teams from the home city — Pogo Nagpur and Passionate Ballers Nagpur — entered last-4 stage on the second day of GH Raisoni Memorial MahaBasket 3x3 state basketball championship on Saturday. The tournament has been organized by Nagpur District Basketball Association (NDBA) under the aegis of
Maharashtra Basketball Association.
Sarthak Dhuldhule, who scored 10 points, played at the top of the
game to help Pogo Nagpur take another step towards the title.
They defeated DCC Amravati 19-17 in a closely-fought match.
In another all-Nagpur quarterfinal encounter, Passionate Ballers rode on Yashasvi Yadav’s 9 point to beat Ball Tamperers 19-14.
In the men’s section, local team of Garuda Warriors were completely outplayed by Deccan Gymkhana of Pune 14-1. Whereas, Garuda Gladiator defeated Curious Yavatmal 10-8.
