Yavatmal woman jumps into well with 18-month daughter, both die

Wardha: A 24-year-old woman jumped into a well along with her 1.5-year-old daughter in Fukata village under Wadner police station on Saturday. The mother-daughter duo died.
The deceased have been identified as Shashikala Pintu Ghule and her daughter Kavita, residents of Parsodi, Kalamb tehsil, Yavatmal district.
According to reports, Pintu Ghule, a shepherd by profession, had asked his wife Shashikala to bring back sheep that had wandered into a neighboring field.When she refused, he slapped her. Subsequently, Shashikala left the house along with her young daughter and jumped into a well, ending both their lives.
Upon receiving information, Wadner police reached the spot, retrieved the bodies with the help of locals, and sent them for postmortem at a government hospital.
