Noida: The federation of Noida residents welfare associations (FONRWA) representatives held meetings with police commissioner Laxmi Singh to address ongoing traffic jams caused by vehicles parked along the 75-meter road in Sector 104 and in the commercial area of Sector 122. On Thursday, the association also pointed to bottlenecks at intersections such as Film City, Rajnigandha Chowk, and near Sector 62's elevated road.
Earlier, in another meeting with Noida Authority CEO Lokesh M on Wednesday, residents discussed pending civic and infrastructure projects.
FONRWA vice president Lat Saab Lohia called for increased deployment of traffic police during office hours to monitor critical congestion points.
Responding to their concerns, CP Laxmi Singh directed all DCPs to collaborate with RWA officials to develop an action plan. She also instructed officials to organise city-wide meetings with RWAs to address local issues comprehensively.
On Wednesday, the FONRWA delegation, led by Sharma and general secretary KK Jain, met Noida Authority CEO Lokesh M to discuss overdue civic works. These included road resurfacing, sewer and drain maintenance, park repairs, and water pipeline issues. Jain said the CEO attributed delays to restrictions imposed by GRAP and National Green Tribunal (NGT).
Lokesh M assured the delegation that all pending projects would be expedited and promised regular meetings with RWAs to ensure progress.
Senior FONRWA members, including Vijay Bhati, Devendra Singh Chauhan, Sushil Yadav, Rajesh Singh, and Jitendra Yadav, also participated in the discussions.
