PATNA: The number of dengue cases in the state continued to show a rising trend as 294 new cases were recorded on Tuesday. With this, the state's dengue tally so far this year has increased to 2,766. At least 2,491 cases were registered in September alone.
According to the health department, 105 new dengue cases were reported in Patna district on Tuesday.
Other districts in the state that saw a high number of new cases included Jamui (22), Bhagalpur (19), Aurangabad (16) and Saran (15).
Altogether 231 dengue patients were undergoing treatment at various government hospitals on Tuesday. Medical college and hospitals in Patna saw an increase in the number of admitted patients from 42 on Monday to 54 on Tuesday. Meanwhile, JLNMCH-Bhagalpur has the highest number of dengue patients at 103.
