Jipmer invites applications for four certificate courses

PUDUCHERRY: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has invited applications for four certificate courses.
The institute offers courses in emergency medical technician, qualified mortuary assistant, enterostomal therapy and phlebotomy.
Applications for the courses can be downloaded from the Jipmer website -- www.jipmer.edu.in. It can also be obtained from the institute’s academic section.
The last date to apply for the courses is Feb 8. The filled-in applications must be submitted by hand or registered post to the academic section, JIPMER Academic Centre, third floor, JIPMER, Puducherry - 605 006.
Candidates, who completed Class XII (science/vocational stream with MLT/nursing) and are aged between 17 and 25 years as of Dec 31, 2024, are eligible to apply for the certificate course in emergency medical technician. The total intake of students is 20 seats. The course duration is 12 months, with an optional 12-month internship.
Candidates, who completed Class XII with science and biology and are aged between 17 and 25 years as of Dec 31, 2024, are eligible to apply for the certificate course in qualified mortuary assistant. The total intake of students is two seats. The course duration is 12 months, with an optional 12-month internship.
Candidates, who completed BSc nursing with one year of clinical experience and are aged less than 30 years as of Dec 31, 2024, are eligible to apply for the certificate course in enterostomal therapy. The total intake of students is two seats every three months and eight per year. The course duration is three months.
Candidates, who completed Class XII with science and biology and are aged between 17 and 25 years as of December 31, 2024, are eligible to apply for the certificate course in phlebotomy. The total intake of students is eight seats. The course duration is 12 months (six months of training and six months of internship).
Jipmer will offer a stipend of Rs 300 per month during the course period and Rs 3,713 per month during the optional internship period.
The institute will hold counselling for admission at its academic section from 9.30am to 10.30am on Feb 13.
