RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh government will introduce the concept of twinning of government and private schools, under which nearby two schools of each sector will be combined to mobilize each other’s resources for teaching and organising learning activities, soon. The concept will be initiated for classes 1 to VIII once schools reopens in Chhattisgarh.
“The concept aims at sharing best learning activities with each other.
It may provide opportunities to pick best teaching ideas, learning techniques and methods. The concept will be initiated with mutual understanding between government and private schools and it will not be mandatory for private schools to enter the concept. Still they will be pursued to take up joint learning for students’ exposure,” said School Education Secretary Kamalpreet Singh.
Under this, both the schools should identify the resources, which can be used by both the schools. For example, laboratory, library, sports field, subject-specialist teacher, sports teacher etc.
The District Mission Coordinators of the program have been directed to approach all the government and private schools for this. Chhattisgarh consists of around 6,000 private schools and 45000 government schools.
The concept of twinning of schools is launched under government of India's new education policy. Under which collaboration may also be done between government to government schools.
