RAIPUR: Para athletes from Chhattisgarh bagged eight medals in the 12th National Sun-junior, Junior Championship organised in Gujarat. Chhattisgarh clinched four gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the championship.
Sukhdev from Chhattisgarh’s Saranggarh district won gold medals in the sub-junior 1500mt, 400mt race respectively and bronze medal in the 100 mt race.

Lucky Yadav from Mahasamund district won silver in 1500mt in junior category T-11, gold medals in 400mt and 100mt respectively. Bhishma Narayan from Gariaband bagged silver in 100mt and bronze in 400mt race, said Para Sports of Chhattisgarh vice president Prashant Singh Raghuvanshi.
Coach Niranjan Sahu led the team to success at the national championship. State association office bearers congratulated the players for displaying their prowess in the championship and bringing laurels to the state.
