RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh women's beach handball team achieved a significant victory by clinching the gold medal at the Senior National Beach Handball Championship held in Assam from January 10 to 13.
This impressive performance sets a positive tone for their upcoming participation in the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand, scheduled to commence on January 28.
In the championship final, the Chhattisgarh team displayed dominance, defeating Kerala in straight sets with scores of 14-11 and 19-11. This decisive victory showcased the team's skill and determination.
Furthermore, Kanchan Mahanand, a key player for Chhattisgarh, was recognised for her exceptional performance by being awarded the Best Goalkeeper title.
