Ranchi: Asju-P president Sudesh Mahto on Monday announced plans to establish village-level committees to identify and address public grievances during a central committee meeting of the party at Bhatinda in Dhanbad on Monday.
Speaking at the party's first major gathering since its disappointing performance in the last Vidhan Sabha election, where it secured only one seat, Mahto emphasized Ajsu-P's commitment to fighting for people's rights and interests. He reminded the members of Ajsu-P's origins, which began with the movement for a separate Jharkhand state.
The meeting drew approximately 1,000 participants, including Giridih MP Chandra Prakash Choudhary, central committee members and representatives from 16 party wings.
Later, Mahto and other party leaders visited Babudih village under the Madhuban police station area where anti-social elements had recently burned down the party MP's office during a group clash.
