6-months-old foetus found abandoned in garbage in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi

A passerby spotted the foetus lying in the garbage and informed the police.
Police teams from Nizampura police station reached the spot and took the foetus for a post-mortem at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
The police said the foetus appeared to be around six months old.
Police suspect that some unknown woman or man aborted the baby and then dumped it in the garbage.
Following the incident, the police registered an offence against unidentified parents.
