MSU coders shine at Tinkerthon 3.0 with top prizes
Vadodara: Students from M S University showcased their coding prowess at Tinkerthon 3.0 hosted by city-based Navrachana University (NU) from Jan 31 to Feb 1.
Two teams from MSU's faculty of technology and engineering secured top positions in two coding competitions, bringing home cash prizes.
Code Vimarsh is the official coding club of the department of computer science and engineering of MSU's faculty of technology and engineering.
"This club is fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence among students. Through coding contests, the A to Z DSA camp, tech talks, industrial guidance, and encouraging participation in hackathons, the club equips students with real-world problem-solving skills," said Viral Vinod Kapadia, deputy director of MSU's Computer Centre.
"Our team Code Crafters had an exhilarating 30-hour journey at Tinkerthon 3.0. It was their first-ever hackathon experience, yet they triumphed, securing first place with a prize money of Rs one lakh and a year-long mentorship under professional alumni for their web application – the Book World," he said.
The team of students comprised Shrey Panchasara, Kunal Badgujar, Yashvi Soni, and Mishri Munshi.
"Additionally, Better Code Vimarsh, a team led by Code Vimarsh's core members, developed PLANit, a mobile application. They secured third place with a prize money of Rs 30,000," he said.
