Three-day Araku Utsav concludes on grand note
Visakhapatnam: The three-day Araku Utsav titled ‘Chali' concluded on a grand note in Araku Valley of Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district on Sunday.
Various dance forms including the Egyptian folk dance, Sufi, Manipuri, Dhimsa dance and Sugali dance of the Banjaras enthralled thousands of visitors on the concluding day. Tribals from various parts of our country showcased their art forms during the three day festival.
Hot air balloons, para gliding, helicopter rides and other adventure sports attracted a large number of people from different places.
Trekking was organized from Sunkarametta Coffee estate on Sunday morning and ASR district collector AS Dinesh Kumar, Visakhapatnam district judge Alapati Giridhar and other senior officials took part with a message to make Araku valley free from plastic and other pollutants.
The response to the three festival was overwhelming, said district collector AS Dinesh Kumar. He said tourists from other states visited popular sites like Lambasingi, Vanjangi, Kothapalli waterfall, tribal museum in large numbers.
