The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has extended the registration deadline for the Maharashtra Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (MAH MCA CET) 2025. Candidates who are yet to apply can complete their registration by January 31, 2025, via the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org.
The MAH MCA CET 2025 exam is tentatively scheduled to be held on March 23, 2025. However, the release date for the admit card is yet to be announced. Initially, the registration deadline was set for January 25, but it has now been extended to allow more candidates to apply.
The MAH MCA CET 2025 is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai, for admissions to the first year of full-time postgraduate MCA programs for the academic session 2025-26. The entrance exam will be held at various test centers across Maharashtra and in other states.
MAH MCA CET 2025: Exam Pattern
The MAH MCA CET 2025 will consist of four sections with a total of 100 multiple-choice questions. Each question will have four options, and candidates will earn two marks for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking in the exam. The test will be conducted over a duration of 90 minutes.
The distribution of questions across sections is as follows:
- Mathematics & Statistics: This section will comprise 30 questions designed to test the candidates' understanding of basic and advanced mathematical concepts as well as statistical analysis.
- Logical/Abstract Reasoning: Another 30 questions will focus on assessing the candidates' ability to think logically and solve abstract reasoning problems.
- English Comprehension and Verbal Ability: This section will include 20 questions aimed at evaluating the candidates' command of English language skills, including comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar.
- Computer Concepts: The final 20 questions will cover fundamental topics related to computer science, including hardware, software, and programming concepts.
