NEW DELHI: Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a Delhi
BJP campaign event on Friday, criticizing the ruling
Aam Aadmi Party's performance.
Dhami addressed the event in Delhi's Moti Nagar area to support BJP candidate Harish Khurana for the Moti Nagar assembly constituency.
In his speech, Dhami attacked the AAP government's track record in implementing welfare schemes. "This government has neither provided clean water to people under the Jal Jeevan Mission nor provided health facilities under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. What the BJP says, it does the same. Contrary to this, Arvind Kejriwal and his 'Aapda' party does the opposite of what they say," Dhami said.
Meanwhile, former Delhi CM Kejriwal launched the AAP's 'Budget' Patra campaign, emphasizing his government's welfare initiatives and detailing the monthly savings from various AAP schemes.
"Budgets usually bring inflation, affecting household finances. People must analyse how AAP's policies impact their budget. With our existing benefits, families save Rs25,000 per month, and upcoming schemes will add another Rs10,000. Pressing the 'Jhadu' button will ensure Rs35,000 in savings while choosing the 'BJP' will lead to an equal monthly burden," Kejriwal stated during a press conference.
Delhi's electoral battle has intensified with less than a week remaining for the Delhi polls, which will see voting for 70 assembly seats on February 5. Vote counting is scheduled for February 8.
