Devar Hippargi constituency is a prominent legislative assembly constituency in the state of Karnataka.

In the 2018 assembly elections, BJP's Somanagouda Patil won the seat by defeating Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Rajugowda Patil by a margin of 3,353 votes.
However, in the 2013 and 2008 assembly elections, it was the Congress that dominated the seat and won both elections comfortably.
In the 2023 assembly elections, BJP's Somanagouda Patil who is the incumbent MLA will again square off against Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Rajugowda Patil.
