Karnataka.

It is part of the Bijapur district which saw a BJP sweep in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Bharatiya Janata Party leader Jigajinagi Ramesh Chandappa had won from Bijapur Lok Sabha seat with a solid margin of 25,8038 votes by defeating Dr Sunita Devanand Chavan of the Janata Dal (Secular).
Sindagi has a history dating back to ancient times, with several historical landmarks and ancient temples that attract tourists and history enthusiasts.
In the 2021 byelections, Bhusanur Ramesh Balappa of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the constituency comfortably by defeating Congress rival Ashok Mallappa Managuli with a huge margin of 31,185 votes.
In 2018, however, the constituency was won by Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Managuli Mallappa Channaveerappa. His death had led to the bypolls in the constituency.
In 2013, Bharatiya Janata Party's Bhusanur Ramesh Baiappa had won the constituency by defeating JD(S)'s Channaveerappa with a very narrow margin of just 752 votes.
