Assembly elections 2023: BJP workers perform puja ahead of counting in Tripura

Elections were held in Tripura on February 16 in a single phase and the results are being declared on March 2. The hard fought elections saw a pitched battle between the ruling BJP and the opposition Communist Party of India [Marxist] CPM. In 2023, the BJP also faces a challenge from Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA), headed by Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barman.
