Pawan Singh has recently been in the spotlight not just for his work but also for his personal life. He has been married twice: first to
Neelam Singh, who was his brother's sister-in-law, and later to
Jyoti Singh. Tragically, Neelam passed away a few months after their marriage, which was reported as a suicide. Recently, Pawan has spoken about Neelam with great reverence, referring to her as a goddess.
In a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, Pawan Singh was asked about his first wife, Neelam Singh. In response, he expressed his deep emotional turmoil, saying, "I stand before the Lord and ask, ‘God, why are you testing me so much? What have I done wrong?’ I lie awake at night, pondering what mistakes I might have made."
Singh further shared his feelings by saying, "The person you lovingly referred to as Bhabhi was the goddess I found in my life. I lost that goddess, and it is impossible to find someone like her again. She is no longer in this world, and all I can say is that there was a mark written on my destiny." When asked about how he feels when people speculate about the reasons behind his first wife’s suicide, Singh’s response reflects his deep personal struggle and the pain of dealing with such sensitive and intrusive discussions.
Singh, who was married to his first wife for just a few months, reflected on their brief time together, saying, "We were together for about three and a half months. Although she was my brother's sister-in-law, we didn’t really get to know each other well, and we weren't together continuously during that time. The reality is that a certain fate was written for me, and that's how it turned out. Even if people don't intend to, they often talk about it, and I have to listen. But that's just how life is."
