Justin Baldoni has made new accusations against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, alleging that the couple had been planning to damage his reputation for months before Lively’s lawsuit against him was filed. According to new court documents obtained by TMZ, Baldoni’s legal team claims to have found evidence proving that the defamation campaign against him began as early as October 31.
The It Ends With Us actor and director had already been in a legal battle with Lively, but his latest lawsuit update now includes allegations that Lively and Reynolds deliberately worked behind the scenes to harm his reputation. His legal team argues that the proof of their alleged scheme lies in metadata linked to a New York Times article about Lively’s lawsuit.

As reported by TMZ, Baldoni's attorneys claim that data from the article contains references to a “message-embed-generator” dating back to October 31. This suggests, according to his legal team, that the article was being prepared long before Lively publicly filed her lawsuit on Christmas Day. Baldoni believes this discovery is crucial to his case, as it could remove the legal protection that Lively, The New York Times, and others involved have been relying on.
The Jane the Virgin star has taken legal action against The New York Times, suing the publication for $250 million, in addition to a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds. Baldoni accuses the couple of fabricating text messages to support their claims against him.
Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s attorney, told that updating the lawsuit was a necessary step due to the significant new evidence that had surfaced. He stated that this evidence supports what they had suspected all along—that Lively and her team had been working on a coordinated effort to damage Baldoni’s reputation for personal reasons.
Freedman further alleged that Lively and her legal team not only participated in the defamation campaign against Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, but were actually the ones who started it.
As of now, Lively’s legal team has not responded to these latest claims. More updates are expected as the case develops.
