Kanye West, the controversial rapper has caused quite a lot of célèbre over the years, yet the Grammys 2025 might just top the list. After allegedly arriving uninvited to the award ceremony, his wife, Bianca Censori dropped her black fur coat on the red carpet and exposed herself in a sheer dress, leaving nothing for imagination. However, the response on social media led everyone to question, ‘Will the duo face any legal repercussions?’
According to the LA-based lawyer Andrea Oguntula, they won’t. In a conversation with Page Six, she revealed that it is likely that Censori won’t be facing any criminal charges as the indecent exposure was not in the context of offending or sexually arousing someone. The lawyer expressed, “While Ms. Censori’s outfit undoubtedly pushed the envelope, a charge of indecent exposure in California requires willful public exposure of one’s genitals with the specific intent to offend or sexually arouse.”
Additionally, the Los Angeles Police Department said to TMZ that the award ceremony was a ‘private event’, and no one present in the Crypto.com Arena filed an official complaint against her act or the outfit.
While the security forces of the Recording Academy and Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc. (AEG Worldwide) were securing the carpet when the pair arrived, they were escorted by the police after their bold actions. Reportedly the singer and his muse only attended the carpet, and not the actual event.
According to Page Six, the sources revealed that West wanted to create the ‘Vultures 1’ album cover. The lip reader revealed that the singer advised Censori to create a scene by dropping the fur and then taking a turn towards the cameras, as per Daily Mail.
The acts were far from humiliation for the duo as the clips of the Australian model and the American rapper grooving in the afterparty surfaced on social media.
